Since  ancient  times,   Rajasthan   has   been   the  land   of  the  brave ' Rajput' dynasties, who have earned a prime position in the books of history.  They have left behind a legacy of great wealth in form of rich  culture  and  traditions,  arts and crafts,  and  of course  numerous  magnificent  forts & palaces which reflect upon  the  glorious  past !   The  arid climate  of  Rajasthan  has preserved these wonders   of   medieval   architecture   as   if   'frozen'   in      time !    Indeed,  a journey  through this land  makes  one live  history  again !
' The Great Thar Desert '  dominates  the  western regions.  It  is a  wonderment to see   how   in   the   past    great   kingdoms   emerged   and   thrived  in   these inhospitable  desert  conditions,  and  created  golden chapters  in  the  books  of Indian history.

  • Day01: Delhi-Jaipur - Early morning arrival at Delhi. 0700 hrs departure by train to Jaipur. Day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli (traditional house).
  • Day02: Jaipur - Visit The City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind) and the Jantar-Mantar (ancient Observatory). Evening at leisure.  Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day03: Jaipur - Day visits to Amer Palace, Shila Mata Temple and Jaigarh Fort. Evening at leisure; Overnight in Hotel / Haveli (traditional house).
  • Day04: Jaipu-Udaipur - Departure by road to Udaipur. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day05: Udaipur - Day to explore the town. Visit the City Palace and stroll through the old bazaars. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day06: Udaipur - Excursions around Udaipur, visiting some prominent historical sites.  Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day07: Udaipur-Jodhpur - Morning departure by road, arriving by midday at Jodhpur. Day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day08: Jodhpur -  Visit the Mehrangarh Fort and spend the evening  by  the  Balsamand  Lake  and visiting the 840 year old summer palace. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day09: Jodhpur-Jaisalmer - Morning  departure  by  road  to  Jaisalmer,  arriving  by  noon. Day  at leisure to explore the city bazaars and visiting some of the exquisite 'Havelis'. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli. 
  • Day10: Jaisalmer - Day  visit  to  the  Jaisalmer Fort - renowned for its Palace and 'Jain' Temples.        In the evening, ride into the desert on camel-back to witness the phenomenon of a desert sunset!        Spend the night in a desert camp.
  • Day11: Jaisalmer -  Return to Jaisalmer; Visit Ludurva- an important 'Jain' pilgrimage centre, and          Aakal- a Wood Fossil Park with fossils dating back to 180 million years ago ! Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli. 
  • Day12: Jaisalmer-Bikaner - Morning departure by road,  arriving at Bikaner by lunch time. Day at        leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli. 
  • Day13: Bikaner - Day visit to the Junagarh Fort- housing numerous palaces, temples and pavilions within. Evening excursion to Karni-Mata Temple famous for the thousands of Rats that live here permanently !  Stay on for the 'Aarti'- the holy ceremony performed at sunset. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Hotel / Haveli.
  • Day14: Bikaner-Delhi - Morning departure by road to Jaipur, thereon proceeding to Delhi by train. After dinner transfer to Airport for onward flight back home.
