Even   today   one   has   to  face  great   hardships  in  reaching the  heart of   the  Greater   Himalayas.  The   stark   landscape,  towering mountains, extremely   high   altitudes  and   inhospitable   weather  conditions  make these   regions   amongst   the  most   inaccessible  and  forbidding  in  the world;  yet  for  some  this  is  a  perfect recipe  for  wholesome adventure- those    who    remain    undaunted   even   in    the   face  of   extremities. Inspite   of    these  conditions,    civilizations    thrived    here   and    have left a  rich  heritage of  Art , Culture, and  Religion.

Tour Highlights - MANALI :  Located  on  the  banks  of  the river  Beas, this  little town  is  a  popular  retreat,  which provides many a romantic settings! KAZA :  The District  Head  Quarter  of  the  region  on  the  banks  of  River  Chandra.              KYE  MONASTERY : Built  atop an isolated hill, this spectacular Monastery    stands proud  amidst  the stark rocky  landscape  since  centuries.   TABO : According  to the  legend,  the  1000 year old Monastery here was built in  just  one night!  CHANDRA TAL :  This   'Lake   of   the   Moon'  is most spectacular and enchanting!                       UPSHI-MANALI  ROAD :  You   will  traverse  the    most     adventurous    trail     through the  ZANSKAR  range  to  enter  the land of  the Ladakhis.  Passes over 5200 m (17,000 ft)  and    the  spectacular   landscape   are  the key   features   of   this  route. En route you will also visit the TSO MORIRI lake.  LEH :  Leh  has  been  an important  center,  of Buddhist religion , culture and art since 3rd century A.D.     Situated  at  3368 m ( 11,500 ft ), Leh  is  rich in culture & heritage,  and  still  seems   frozen   in  time !  Monasteries: The  region   is  dotted   with   centuries  old   'Gompas'    which   are  store  houses  of  untold   treasures   of   Art,   Culture  and  History.    KHARDUNG  LA :   At   5560 m ( 18,380 ft ),   this   is   the   'Highest motorable  pass'  of   the world,   over   the   gigantic  Ladakh   range   connecting  the  Leh   valley   to   the  valley  of   Nubra.

  • Day01:Delhi-Manali - Early morning arrival at Delhi. 0700 hrs departure by train to Chandigarh. Proceed by road to Manali. Overnight in Hotel. 
  • Day02: Manali - Day at leisure to relax and unwind.  Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day03:Manali-Kaza - Begin your adventure ! Drive over the Rohtang pass into the Lahaul valley. Drive  along the river Chandra through beautiful landscape; cross the Kunzum-La pass and descend into the Spiti valley to reach Kaza, set in the wide valley on the banks of river Spit. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house.
  • Day04: Kaza - Morning at leisure. Excursion to Tabo, famous for its 1000 year old Monastery. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house at Kaza.
  • Day05: Kaza - Morning visit to Kye Monastery, which served as a centre of learning for Buddhists since many centuries. Also drive to Kibber (said to be the highest Village in the World). Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house.
  • Day06: Kaza - Excursion to the Pin Parvati valley-bound to bewitch you with its vast green pastures.  Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house.
  • Day07: Kaza-Chandra Tal lake - Follow the route back towards Rohtang. After crossing the Kunzum La pass, take the diversion to the beautiful lake Chandra Tal- the lake of the moon! Overnight in Tents.
  • Day08: Chandra Tal lake - Day at leisure to enjoy the environs. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day09: Chandra Tal-Keylong - Continue along the Lahaul valley to Patseo, just before the climb to Baralacha-La pass. Camp in the meadows alongside the river Bhaga. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day10: Keylong-Sarchu - An easy day of riding; cross the Baralacha-La and halt at Sarchu. Overnight in Tents. 
  • Day11:  Sarchu-Pang - A very interesting drive over two passes. The constantly changing scenery is sure to leave one agape. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day12:  Pang-Tso Moriri - Drive through the picturesque landscape of More Plains to reach the Tso Moriri lake- a turquoise blue jewel nestled in the heart of the Zanskar mountains. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day13: Tso Moriri-Leh - The last day of driving before reaching the final destination- Leh. Evening arrival. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day14: Leh - Spend the day relaxing and to explore the town. Visit the palace and the Leh monastery. Enjoy the sunset from 'Shanti Stupa' located atop a hilltop. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day15: Leh - Excursion to Shey palace and Thiksey monastery. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day16: Leh - Excursions to Stok summer palace, Hemis and Spituk monasteries. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day17: Khardung La - Drive on the highest road of the world right upto the Khardung La Pass, at  5560 m  ( 18,380 ft ). Enjoy the hospitality of the Indian Army over a cup of tea before returning to Leh. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day18: Leh-Delhi - Take the morning flight to Delhi. Day at leisure for sightseeing and souvenir hunting. After dinner transfer to Airport for flight back home.
