Even   today   one   has   to  face  great   hardships  in  reaching the  heart of   the  Greater  Himalayas.  The   stark   landscape,  towering mountains, extremely   high   altitudes  and   inhospitable   weather  conditions  make these   regions   amongst   the  most   inaccessible  and  forbidding  in  the world;  yet  for  some  this  is  a  perfect recipe  for  wholesome adventure- those    who    remain    undaunted   even   in    the   face  of   extremities. Inspite   of    these  conditions,    civilizations    thrived    here   and    have left a  rich  heritage of  Art , Culture, and  Religion.

Tour Highlights - LEH :  Situated  at 3368m ( 11,500 ft ),  Leh  is  rich  in   culture &  heritage,   and   still  seems   frozen  in    time !     The region   is  dotted   with  centuries  old  'Gompas'    which   are   store   houses   of   untold   treasures   of   Art,   Culture  and  History. ALCHI & LAMAYURU : Famous for ancient monasteries. NUBRA VALLEY : Across the famous Khardungla pass, this once forbidden valley is touted as amongst the best in the Ladakh region.   TANKSEY  VALLEY  &  PANGONG TSO LAKE: The  journey  through  the Tanksey  valley  is  just  as beautiful  as  the  gigantic  Pangong  tso  lake  which does  not fail to astound anyone!  TSO MORIRI LAKE  &  MORE PLAINS : The Tso Moriri  lake  is  truly a  jewel  in  the crown of the great Zanskar mountains. The route passes through  the More Plains,  the  beauty of  which  can  only  be  appreciated   by  physically  being  there!    High Mountain Passes : You will traverse over passes exceeding 5200m, including the KHARDUNG  LA ( 5520 m, 18,380 ft ), the   'highest motorable  pass'   of   the  world !

  • Day01:Delhi-Leh - Early morning arrival at Delhi. 0600 hrs flight to Leh. Day at leisure to relax and unwind. Overnight in Hotel. 
  • Day02: Leh - Day to visit the Leh Palace and the Monastery. In the evening, view the sunset from the 'Shanti Stupa' atop a hill.  Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day03: Leh - Excursion to Shey Palace and Tanksey monastery.
  • Day04: Leh-Alchi - Drive to the little hamlet surrounded by magnificent mountains. Day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day05:Alchi - Excursion to Lamayuru, famous for it's ancient monastery and the spectacular 'lunar' landscape. Return to Alchi. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day06: Alchi - Morning visit to the Monastery. Day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day07: Alchi-Diskit - Early departure back to Leh. After breakfast proceed to Nubra valley going over the Khardung La pass (5520m). Overnight in Hotel / Guest House in Diskit. 
  • Day08: Diskit - Morning visit to Kye Monastery, which served as a centre of learning for Buddhists since many centuries. Also drive to Kibber (said to be the highest Village in the World). Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house.
  • Day09: Diskit-Stok Morning visit to Hunder. Lunch at Diskit and return to Leh from where you proceed to Stok. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day10: Stok - Morning visit to the Stok Palace. Day at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day11: Stok-Tanksey - The road to the Tanksey valley takes you over the Chang La pass (5290m). Set up camp in a scenic location close to a village. Overnight in Tents. 
  • Day12: Tanksey-Leh - Drive to the Pangong Tso lake early in the morning to see the sun rise phenomenon of myriad colours of the lake !  Return to campsite for breakfast and proceed  back to Leh. Overnight in Hotel. 
  • Day13: Leh - Day at leisure.
  • Day14: Leh-Tso Moriri - Lake Moriri is nestled in the heart of the great Zanskar mountains. The crystal blue water of the lake surrounded by rugged mountains provides an awe inspiring landscape. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day15: Moriri-Pang - Take a different route through the mountains to join the Upshi-Manali road, from where you drive through the magnificent More Plains to reach Pang. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day16: Pang-Leh -  Cross Taglang-La,  the highest pass on this route (17500ft , 5300m) to reach Leh. The drive is spectacular all along the route. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day17: Leh - Day at leisure.
  • Day18: Leh-Delhi - Take the morning flight to Delhi. Day at leisure for sightseeing and souvenir hunting. After dinner transfer to Airport for flight back home.
