The Himalayan range in the State of 'Uttaranchal' - bordering  Tibet in the north and Nepal on the east, comprises of the regions well known as Garhwal & Kumaon. With many pilgrim sites holy places in Garhwal, there is great importance attached to this region by the 'Hindus'. Garhwal has been the seat of Hinduism since the record of history, and continues to hold its importance even today. Majestic mountains, beautiful valleys & rivers, lush green forests, abundant flora & fauna make this truly the 'Land of the Gods' ! Tour Highlights - HARIDWAR & RISHIKESH :   These two cities are consideMichael  photographing  Goddess Durga.red amongst the most holy places for the Hindus. Rishikesh is the gateway to Garhwal and the pilgrim routes. The 'Asharams'  here are institutions for Yogic & Spiritual studies. RAJAJI NATIONAL PARK : A sanctuary for the endangered flora & fauna, this wildlife park boasts  of the largest concentration of Asian Elephants !   PAURI : A little hill station with un-spoilt environs and magnificent view of the Greater Himalayan Range.  AULI : This small settlement in sprawling grasslands at 4000 m ( 12,000 ft ) serves as a Ski Resort in winters.   BADRINATH: One of the four  'Dhams' of Garhwal, this main pilgrim centre is right amidst the mighty Himalayas.  River Camp at BEASI :  Spend the last days of your tour on the sandy beaches of the river Ganges - simply relaxing in the sun or enjoying the thrills of White Water Rafting !

  • Day01: Delhi-Dehra Dun - Early morning arrival at Delhi. 0700 hrs departure by train to Dehra Dun. Noon arrival. Day at leisure to relax and unwind. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day02: Dehra Dun-Mussoorie - Excursion to the Sikh's shrine at Paunta Sahib on the banks of river Yamuna.  After lunch proceed to the hill station of Mussoorie. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day03: Mussoorie - Drive upto the village Lakhamandal, an historical site associated with the heroes of the epic 'Mahabharata'. The cave formations here are particularly interesting. Evening at leisure back in Mussoorie. Overnight in Hotel.
  • Day04: Mussoorie-Rudraprayag - Enjoy the drive through the mountains, halting en-route to visit the Goddess temple at Sarkunda Devi. Overnight in Hotel at Rudraprayag, the confluence of rivers Mandakani and Alaknanda.
  • Day05: Rudraprayag-Chopta - Proceed to Chopta- amidst sprawling high-altitude grasslands and surrounding forests, offering a magnificent view of the great Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day06: Chopta - Day for exploring the surroundings. Campfire dinner. Overnight in Tents / Guest House..
  • Day07: Chopta-Auli - Continue the journey to Auli. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cottege / Guest House..
  • Day08: Auli - Take an excursion to Badrinath* OR visit the 'hot springs' at Tapovan. Overnight in Cottege / Guest House. ( * Not possible in peak winter months )
  • Day09: Auli-Pauri -  Drive down along the river Alaknanda to  reach Pauri, overlooking the Srinagar valley. Overnight in a village house.
  • Day10: Pauri - Lift your spirits walking through the dense forests and enjoy the breath taking view of the Himalayas. Bonfire dinner with local folk Drums & Bag pipe. Overnight in village house.
  • Day11: Pauri-Biasi River Camp - Drive down to Biasi, where you get to unwind on the sandy beach of the river Ganges. Campfire dinner. Overnight in Tents.
  • Day12: Biasi River Camp - Morning at leisure to enjoy sunbathing OR trying out the thrills of River Rafting. 
  • Day13: Biasi-Chila / Laldhang -  Proceed to Chila / Laldangh - set amidst the thick forests of the Rajaji National Park. En-route stop at Rishikesh and take a walk through this fascinating town. Over night in Forest Bungalow.
  • Day14: Chila / Laldhang-Delhi - Enjoy an Elephant ride through the forest in the morning followed by a jeep safari. Reach Haridwar by lunch time. Explore the holy 'Ghats' and visit a few temples. Board the evening train to Delhi. 2230 hrs arrival; transfer to Airport for onward flight back home.
